Picking your baby's nose... it will happen

When Sienna was a newborn she had a tiny nose which was always plugged with boogers! Even though my mom said not to pick them and that they'd come out on their own.... I became obsessed with getting them out! Although there was one of those rubber suction things in her "Safety First" pack... I couldn't justify sticking it in her nose like they did when she was born... Surely my finger was a better option. 

To this day I am still picking her nose.... I never thought when I was babyless that I would be one day picking my baby's nose so often!

Sienna now senses when I am about to get in there and she tries her best to dodge my little finger! I try to get to the nostril by coming in from below but as soon as my finger touches her nose (or anything near it!) she darts to the side and does her scrunch face cry! Of course when Daddy does it, it's no problem, he gets it in a single swipe and holds out his finger as if to say "could you get that for me?" of course I do, what's a little booger between husband and wife.

So I have probably created a nose picking monster and one day I will be constantly saying "Sienna, get your finger out of your nose!" or she will be one of those kids who sticks their boogers under their desk at school and I will be getting a call from her teacher to have a meeting about "hygiene." 

For now, I can't stop... It can't be comfortable having something stuck up your nose!
