Baby fashionista

When I was just 8 weeks pregnant I was shopping for my unborn baby. I know, a little premature, but I couldn't resist! I was buying little gender neutral onesies dreaming that I would soon (8 weeks later) be shopping for PINK! The dream came true and I think it probably took me 1 hour to get from the ultrasound to the mall to start buying the girliest stuff I could get my hands on!
Sienna is and always has been better dressed than her mom, she certainly has more clothes than me and they are more stylish than mine. Baby clothing is officially cuter than any adult clothing, and I am always underdressed compared to Sienna. Especially when she was a newborn... I was in my sweats, or my unbuttoned/unzipped jeans, emu boots and a hoodie (not to mention make-upless) while she was wearing a cute colorful outfit, adorable knitted booties and a matching toque.
Now she is still better dressed than me, in fact, some days I could be mistaken for a boy, wearing my jeans, t-shirt converse high tops and a black or grey hoodie.
Baby clothing can be expensive in Canada, but it's twice as much in London. It is absolute torture to be unable to buy adorable outfits from the Gap or mothercare, next or H&M! To give you a little perspective, a pair of socks at the Gap here is 4 pounds, which is around $7.75 cad! Ridiculous! Oh how I long for Canadian superstore and Gap clearance shopping when I get home for Christmas!
Lucky for me I never had to hide my baby shopping addiction from Kyle; he always watched my excited face (and often seemed just as excited!) as I pulled things out of the Gap bag that were sized 12-18 months (while she was just 3 months) as Sienna already had enough clothing to last her until then. "See! Aren't these adorable! Skinny jeans! For a BABY!!! AND they're bright PINK!!" In retrospect, these skinny jeans are cute but when Sienna is wearing them she can barely move, in fact even sitting in her high chair is a task and a half, and they too are unbuttoned/unzipped; lets face it, what baby can wear skinny jeans, they have big tummies, thighs that rub together and really cute chubby knees! They also serve the inadvertent function of burper... I guess the teal ones in size 18-24 months were also a bad investment?
