Is this thing on??

As I finally write this LONG overdue post - Holt, now 2, is beating his big sister Siena with a book - now she's bouncing up and down on his belly, I would intervene, but he's laughing so I will abstain. Also, the poor cat... Sleeping in her usual spot on the couch in her usual position - face buried under paws in fear of flying toys and children.

Has it really been over a year since my last post? I don't really know how to catch you all up on everything so I will just say this:

Siena started kindergarten - hated it for 6 months - now loves it!

Holt just started talking - a far cry from big sisters first sentence at 16 months: "mommy wine."

We got a kitten in October, she's cute as a button and lazy as a sloth so we are good - except for when she's biting my ankles to show me who's boss.

Kyle put together a playhouse kit from Costco and the kids are in heaven, although Siena wishes she could play in the house without her brother sometimes because he quote "RUINS EVERYTHING!"

We are going to Europe as a family in 17 days: London, Paris, Venice, Feistritz in Austria (where one half of Kyle's family are from), Pisa (leaning tower!), Kefalonia and Zakynthos in Greece, London then home all in - what were we thinking? Just kidding! It will be amazing and we cannot wait to spend time together with no worries except making sure Holt doesn't run away in the middle of Paris or fall into the canals of Venice (he's a runner!) and making sure that Siena doesn't repeatedly say "ugh, i'm bored" (she's a diva). The fact that I will be able to drink very cheap wine in public spaces like playgrounds without getting judged and scowled at has really made this vacation even more appealing!

What's new with me? Still have anxiety, slightly more OCD, still want to write although I don't make the time and still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
