So. First of all, I am sorry to my followers for not sitting down and writing for over TWO months! I can't even believe it has been that long!
I got an office job in May and honestly, life has been crazy ever since! I am working full-time now and Siena is with her Nana (my mom) 5 days a week! Leaving Siena has been really hard for me. I miss her constantly, think about her all day and can't wait for the day when I can spend more time with her!
Siena is pretty difficult in the mornings though... If she wakes up while I am getting ready for work I will be late. No two ways about it!! I have to hold her awkwardly while she cries while I am trying to put on my make-up one handed, then we rush out the door and drop her off 10 minutes before I am supposed to be at work! It's crazy, I don't know how mom's with two kids do it! If I didn't have Kyle making my breakfast and packing my lunch every day I would never get to work!
So the above photos! Kyle built this bed for Siena a couple of weeks ago. Solid wood, carved hearts with a jigsaw, and a solid pain in the lower back for Kyle! While moving it in (up three flights of stairs) with Cooper (he had the light end) he totally screwed up his back and still isn't better :( at the end of the move, Cooper and Kyle sweating profusely and Kyle complaining of a back injury, Cooper says, "well I am fine! you gotta do yoga like me!" oh Coops, you're awesome.
Siena loves her bed and she is so proud of it! Whenever someone new comes into our apartment she says "DO YOU WANT TO SEE MY NEW BED!" and before they can answer she is running (streaking) down the hallway yelling "COME ON!" then as she enters the doorway she says "TA DAAA!" She just loves it, she plays on it, she looks at her books on it and best of all, she sleeps in it! haha. Yes she actually sleeps now. I would say 90% of the time, she sleeps through the night, but there's the occasional wake up and scream in the night.
She also recently took a trip to the library with Daddy and got her OWN library card! Another very proud moment for her (see above photo)... She checked out a few books and three movies, Babe, Peter Pan and the boy with the red balloon (a very tasteful foreign film from the late 60s... Okay, Kyle picked it and we watched it with more interest than Siena, but still very cool).
Anyway! Signing off for now, but I will be back once my brain is working and I can think of something more funny to say!
xoxo
I love that bed!! That's great that you have your mom to look after Siena I bet they both have a lot of fun together.
